5,000 Video Downloads. Time for Amazon S3.
This morning as we checked our server logs were excited to see that the quick video demo was downloaded 1,116 times yesterday. Then we looked at the stats for today. We had been Dugg again.
Between midnight and 6:06am CST, the video had been downloaded 3,752 times. By 7:02am that number had risen to 4,150. We did some quick math and realized that we were saturating our server's network connection. Time to add some capacity. We immediately decided to use Amazon S3.
It only took a few minutes to set up an account, move the video to Amazon's servers, and redirect the movie's original address to the new one. Since we made the switch—exactly 15 minutes ago—the video has been downloaded 194 times, bringing today's download count to 5,007.
Now it's time for me to get my second cup of coffee and for us to finish the beta. It's close. For an idea of how close, check out the updated Screenshots section.

Another option might have been to host the vid on Google Video or YouTube :)

Actually there is a version on Google Video at http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7160695257688127579&sourceid=docidfeed&hl=en, but it's much lower-resolution.

Well, I know it's useful, but having an app in System Preferences? It's not settings, it's an _application_ with its distinctive function. I wouldn't use it this way.
Was there no other option?

This looks absolutely fantastic!
One question, though: Will you have the ability to manage multiple gmail calendar accounts? From the video, it looked like you could have only one.
Nice job!

This thing looks perfect! With GooSync I can sync Google Cal with my phone already over-the-air. Now if I can use GooSync+ Spanning Sync + iCal + or GoogleCal when in windows, this is just awesome.
I hope you can release this for a decent price. (Seen no mention of this anywhere).

Words... not enough...
should've sent a poet!
Stellar work guys. Keep up the teasing posts much longer and you'll start getting dugg for having one of the more *cruel* software pre-launch buzz events on your hands. :)

Will you add Address Book to Gmail Address Book sync to this app as well in the future? Or is it impossible due to Google not opening up that API?

This is an answer to so many prayers. You are the patron saint of calendars.

I use macs at home, and my secretary uses (is forced to) use windoze at work. she has to be able to change my calendar, and so do I. I choose not to use Msoft stuff. So I have had to abandon iCal and use Gmail calendar instead.
Now I will be able to go back to iCa, and all it's goodnessl.....I will be a happy camper indeed

I can't wait for this. I've contemplated moving from iCal to Google Calendar, but I prefer the option of the offline UI. Also, I use TimeLog (http://shareware.mediaatelier.com/) in conjunction with iCal to extract time spent on projects. Being able to use either Google or iCal and then go back to the desktop will be a joy!

This looks spectacular--thank you!
Please release the product (or even a public beta) before I die from anticipation!
