Spanning Sync v1.0b10 is now available, so if you're a registered participant in the private beta program, please download it now. If you're not currently a participant in the private beta program, you won't be able to use Spanning Sync yet, but a public version will be available soon.
In fact, we're so close to releasing the public version that we want to ask all of our beta testers to let us know about any and all issues you encounter with v1.0b10. We've added quite a bit of functionality, including support for attendees and recurrence exceptions (finally!), streamlined the UI (shown here), and cleaned up many small bugs.
What's New and Fixed in v1.0b10 (126)
- Added support for recurrence exceptions and detached events
- Added support for attendees
- Improved pref pane UI
- Improved menu item UI
- Reduced the number of wrongly modified records
- Fixed cause of "nil sync session" issue
- Fixed cause of pref pane not showing up
- Better offline operation
- Various other fixes
Thanks to our private beta participants for the excellent feedback they've provided. With the private beta in its final stages, we're looking forward to opening up Spanning Sync to the rest of the world. When we do, we'll make the announcement here on the Spanning Sync Blog.

Peter,
Thanks for your interest in Spanning Sync! Unfortunately, registration for the private beta program now underway is closed. However, the public version is so close we can taste it, so stay tuned!

Any recommendations on sharing our calendar for the public as read-only?
Both my ical and google calendars have multiple calendars in their own unique color (work, play, birthdays, holidays, etc.). I can share my google calendar, but i can not combine different calendars onto the same url (in their respective colors). I think if I were a .mac user I would be able to do this with ical. Any ideas?

Dave,
I can certainly see how it would be useful to combine multiple calendars into one for sharing purposes, but I don't know of a good way to do this.
As you know, Spanning Sync maintains a strict one-to-one relationships between iCal calendars and Google Calendars. And as you point out, Google Calendar only allows you to share individual calendars, not a "composite" calendar.
If anyone has an idea of how this can be accomplished, please post a comment here. Thanks!
Regards,
Charlie
