Spanning Sync International

One of the most rewarding aspects of the response to Spanning Sync has been its amazing international adoption. Since the public beta opened earlier this month, over 16,500 people from 58 countries¹ have used Spanning Sync.

This morning Engadget Spanish posted a short review of Spanning Sync titled Mac y Google Calendar: el matrimonio perfecto ("Mac and Google Calendar: The Perfect Marriage"). We've also gotten great coverage in French, German, and several other languages, not to mention the many English-language reviews on many non-U.S. sites.

We intend Spanning Sync to be a useful service for everyone, not just English speakers. So to better serve our worldwide audience we've localized the service into German, French, Japanese, and Swedish, and hope to add Spanish soon. Our ultimate goal is to support all 27 languages in which Google Calendar is available.

Hey, I love that thingy, too — interestingly sometimes dates don't get synced, no matter what I try. Just certain dates, the rest gets synced fine.

Localization: a little bug in the German localization: in the menu it must be »Jetzt synchronisieren« because verbs must be written in small letters. The rest seems to be fine. :-)
