Spanning Sync v1.0.3 Released
Spanning Sync v1.0.3 includes many improvements and fixes for several bugs we've found with the help of our thousands of customers and trial users.
To upgrade automatically, simply open the Spanning Sync preference pane and follow the instructions. Or if you prefer, you can download the installer from http://spanningsync.com/download.
What's New in 1.0.3
- Fixed a problem that could cause duplicate events
- Canceling a sync is faster and no longer confuses Apple's sync services
- Fixed an error ("you referenced the following events without pushing them") that would occur after not syncing in seven or more days and which could keep the sync from completing
- Events are no longer unnecessarily modified, which could cause sync services to display the alert "You're about to modify more than 5% of your calendars..."
- Better handling of resetting sync history
- Fixed a problem that could cause the program to stop logging to the sync.log
- Fixed a problem that caused yearly recurrences originated in Microsoft Outlook to become monthly recurrences in Google Calendar
- Fixed a problem that prevented syncs from successfully completing
As always, if you run into any problems please contact us directly at support@spanningsync.com. To our customers and trial users, thanks for the great feedback! With your help, we're making Spanning Sync better every day.
Update: As luck would have it, Google chose today to do some maintenance on Google Calendar that has produced some undesirable effects, including recurring events losing their titles. As soon as Google Calendar stabilizes (over the weekend we hope) we'll post an update here.

Does this mean we better wait before installing the update?

Marco,
You should go ahead and install the 1.0.3 update, but you might see some unusual behavior until Google stabilizes their new changes.

Charlie
