When we launched the Save 5+Make 5 program last week, we knew that some people would make more in referral payments than they had paid for Spanning Sync in the first place, we just didn't know it would happen this fast!
Christoph Blecker, a 21-year-old network analyst from Vancouver, has been a Spanning Sync customer since last December when he purchased a $65 lifetime subscription. Shortly thereafter he wrote a post on his blog titled The Godsend of Spanning Sync.
Last week Christoph signed up for Save 5+Make 5 (by clicking "Refer a Friend" in the Spanning Sync pref pane), and then edited his blog post so that his links to Spanning Sync would include his discount code. Since then, fifteen people have used his code to save $5 each, earning Christoph $75 and putting him solidly "in the money" on his Spanning Sync investment.
Even Christoph was surprised by the response. When I contacted him he said, "To be perfectly honest I was going to e-mail you and try to figure out what's going on. I've only posted the link in one place, and that was to an edit of an old review of Spanning Sync on my pretty low traffic blog. I don't even know how it happened!"
We're extremely excited that Save 5+Make 5 is already proving to be valuable to our customers. If you haven't gotten your discount code yet, just open the Spanning Sync pref pane and click "Refer a Friend". You'll find not only your code, but also simple instructions to help you start saving your friends (and blog audience!) money and making money while you're at it.

I just paid, but Firefox crashed during the transaction. I never got a discount code. Is it supposed to show up in my email? (Please cc me at jfaughnan@spamcop.net)

Mr. Faughnan-
Your payment was processed and your Spanning Sync subscription is now active. You should receive an email receipt from PayPal. To get your discount code, just open the Spanning Sync pref pane and click the "Refer a Friend" link. Please let me know if you have any questions or run into any problems.
Thanks,
Charlie
